29-30-31 March 2024, Italy, Bologna, L. Collari Raceway, ELS Event. The best possible location for the first official unveiling of Step In DRIVE system. Among the top european RC drivers, in the temple of RC car racing, in the presence of the main car and engine manufacturers, we stepped into the event with a clear goal to become a part of it. A community with a single passion: racing!
Living every moment of the 3 day event in the ELS-paddock, we felt a strong desire to improve our performance and gain overall experience. That was exactly what we were looking for when we began the development of Step In DRIVE a couple of years ago. One entrepreneur, three engineers to take care of mechanics, electronics and SW, and a clear product idea in our mind. Now it’s time to test it on track to finally find out how close you can be to a real driving experience!
Tests for Champions and New Comers
A great honour and lots of satisfaction! This was our weekend in a nutshell! Not only did we propose the two Step In Cars for a very particular technical testing done by the legends of RC car racing: we also gave an opportunity to try something totally new to some newcomers who entered the track as simple guests but ended up driving a car for real! No chance to do anything similar with standard radio controlled cars…!
Lamberto Collari, Emanuele D’Amico, Dario Veseli… could we ask for more for a first appearance on the stage? Everybody was smiling when they finished the test, willing to relive the experience in the following sessions of the 3 day event. And we were thrilled to see their joy! Most of them gave us their feedback for further development and fine tuning so we’ll definitely implement some calibration changes for the second round of ELS in Lostallo (CH) at the end of May/24. Every SW update that will come from these Pro-driver tests will be continuously available for our customers through remote updates of their kits.
Perfect track and event organization
We would like to thank the management of the event for a three day race performed on time even if the weather was expected to be critical. We had the chance to let professional drivers test the Step In DRIVE System every day during the race break for launch time, and every evening after the track closed at the end of the official activities. Around 15 drivers drove Step In DRIVE on L. Collari Raceway, and we collected precious feedback that will enhance our continuous learning and most certainly improve our product. As a strategy, all the SW and calibration changes will be released to all the Step In Customers for their system update through remote connection.

For everyone who would like to test the Step In DRIVE System, the next meeting is in LOSTALLO (CH) on the weekend of 31/5 – 2/6 on the occasion of round #2 of ELS 2024. Just like it was in Bologna, two cars will be available for testing, you only have to come to the track and… Step In!
